This Privacy Policy applies to the websites, forms, software assessment tools, and related services operated by Studio X Consulting, LLC (collectively, the “Services”). In this policy, “Studio X,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Studio X Consulting, LLC.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you use the Services for an organization, you are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to provide us with any personal information or source code you submit.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact and business information, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, project details, and messages.
  • Account and authentication information, including information received when you connect a supported account such as GitHub.
  • Project and assessment information, including repository details, uploaded source code or archives, file names, file sizes, technical metadata, assessment results, and NDA acceptance records.
  • Transaction information, such as the product or service purchased and payment status. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored directly by Studio X.
  • Communications, including support requests, consultation notes, feedback, and other correspondence.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP address, interactions, error data, and date and time of access.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from service providers and integrations you choose to use, such as GitHub, payment processors, analytics providers, and referral or advertising partners. The information we receive depends on the provider, your settings, and the permissions you grant.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services;
  • respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and deliver customer support;
  • authenticate users and connect requested third-party integrations;
  • process technical assessments, analyze submitted code, and deliver reports;
  • process purchases, maintain transaction records, and prevent fraud;
  • monitor performance, understand usage, troubleshoot issues, and protect the Services;
  • send service-related notices and, where permitted, relevant marketing communications;
  • comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

How we share information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, communicate through, and operate the Services, including cloud infrastructure, database, email, analytics, and payment providers.
  • Integrations you direct. Third parties you choose to connect with the Services, subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety reasons. Government authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
  • Business transactions. Parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction or consent. Other parties when you ask us to share information or otherwise authorize us to do so.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics or advertising technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. You may contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights.

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage, to keep the Services working, remember progress and preferences, support authentication, understand site performance, and measure the effectiveness of our communications. For example, the assessment experience may store your email address, assessment identifier, and selected source type on your device so you can continue the process.

We may use providers such as Vercel Analytics and, when configured, Meta Pixel. These providers may collect information about your browser, device, and interactions with our site. You can limit cookies through your browser settings and use available platform or industry opt-out controls. Blocking some technologies may affect Service functionality.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship, and applicable requirements.

Source code and assessment materials are treated as confidential project information and access is limited to personnel and service providers who need it to deliver the requested work. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in a message or contacting us.

To submit a privacy request, email admin@studioxconsulting.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response and stating that you wish to appeal.

Children's privacy

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
